Grounded in Nature. Inspired for Life.
For the Parents/Carers
We know how important it is to feel confident in the spaces you’re sending your young person. That’s why we’ve created a supportive, nurturing environment where participants can connect, reflect, and grow – safely guided by experienced facilitators. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, guardian, or carer, you can rest assured that they’ll be held with care, respect, and intention every step of the way.
For the Teen Girls
This is for you – the wild, wonderful, real you. Wild Rising is about your spark, your story, and your strength.
Wild means being truly yourself: connected to nature, freedom, and what makes you unique.
Rising means stepping into your power, trusting your voice, and lifting each other up. Here, you don’t have to change who you are to belong. You’re here to shine, be true, and rise together.

Our Why...
Every day, Australian teenage girls face mental health challenges that are far too common, yet too often go unseen. These aren’t just numbers, they’re real girls struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, and body image pressures.
To understand just how widespread these challenges are, here are some statistics that illustrate the reality they face and why our support is so urgently needed:
*These statistics are drawn from Australia’s largest national surveys and longitudinal studies of teenage girls, including Young Minds Matter, ABS national mental health surveys, the Liptember Foundation, the Butterfly Foundation, and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
Mental Health Statistics for Australian Teenage Girls
Depression and Anxiety
By age 18, nearly 3 in 4 girls have experienced clinically significant symptoms of depression or anxiety.
Self-Harm and Suicide
1 in 10 girls aged 12–17 reported ever self-harming and 1 in 13 girls had considered suicide in the past year.
Body Image
Almost 3 in 5 girls feel very pressured to be a certain weight
The alarming rates of depression and anxiety among teens motivated us to create a program that leverages the therapeutic benefits of nature.
Head, heart, and health – nature’s got you covered.
Multiple studies have shown that time spent in nature has multiple benefits including…
Happier Headspace
98% of studies show improved mental health.
Body Boost
83% of studies show better physical health
Mind Magic
75% of studies show increased focus and brain function
Caring Connections
70% of studies show enhanced feelings of social connection and belonging.
Statistics and evidence on the benefits of nature are drawn from Nature Fix Translation Study (Australia), JOGH Scoping Review (2022), The Lancet – Nature-Based Mental Health Agenda (2024), Australian Psychological Society – Nature Therapy, Mental Health Foundation (UK), and Nature Connection and Wellbeing in Australia (2022)

What they say...
“I think you’re the most resilient person I’ve met. Nothing dampens your spirit. You have the biggest grin and your optimism and enthusiasm really helped heaps of us pull through. You’ve also been an amazing friend and you’re so much fun to talk to. The next batch of kids who get you are really in for a treat!”
– Anouk, 15 year old girl
“The content was great and program of events provided enough variety for active and quiet time. I loved the reflective nature of the content which was highly appropriate. Our guide commanded attention in the gentlest of ways as her passion was so evident to all.”
– Sarah, Leader from Eaton Street Centre
“Thank you so much for being so supportive for everyone. You’ve always been there in times of emotional needs and you’ve been a very easy person to turn to. You’ve got the optimism and enthusiasm and I think it’s reverberated throughout the group. We couldn’t have asked for a better leader.”
– Charlotte, 15 year old girl
“I can’t speak highly enough of Wild Rising and what it offers teenage girls. Knowing Katie and Suzie and how they show up with calm, grounded, and nurturing energy gives me so much confidence in what they’re creating. It’s exactly the kind of environment I’d hoped my daughters would find.
This kind of experience is so valuable during the teenage years – just when they need it most. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wild Rising to other parents looking for something truly meaningful for their daughters.”
– Maura, mum of 13 year old girl
